HOW IT WORKED
All residents with apartments on the south facade of
the building were warmly invited to participate,
& about two thirds volunteered.
Participants were provided with equipment to light up
their balconies with a series of different coloured lights.
From the outside of the building the whole facade
appeared as a great tapestry of coloured lights.
Each apartment featured as part of this grand design.
Participants were signalled to change the colour from time
to time during the 45 minutes of the performance.
It was an important detail within the carefully scripted
grand pattern over the whole facade of the south
side of the building.
The cues for the pattern to change were determined by
trains passing below.
The performance took place as planned,
& was a roaring success.
