A LIGHTWORK TRILOGY PART 1 THE TRELLICK TOWER PERFORMANCE A Live Event that took place on 21 November 1997 @ 7.00 pm from the south side of Trellick Tower PROJECTED FROM THE FAMOUS TRELLICK TOWER WAS SEEN ACROSS LONDON BY NIGHT lightwork on a grand scale performed by resldents of Trellick Tower, North Kensington with architect Robert Barnes & the residents of Trellick Tower RETROSPECTIVE PRESENTATION supported by & North Kensington Arts All residents with apartments on the south facade of the building were warmly invited to participate, & about two thirds volunteered. Participants were provided with equipment to light up their balconies with a series of different coloured lights. From the outside of the building the whole facade appeared as a great tapestry of coloured lights. Each apartment featured as part of this grand design. Participants were signalled to change the colour from time to time during the 45 minutes of the performance. It was an important detail within the carefully scripted grand pattern over the whole facade of the south side of the building. The cues for the pattern to change were determined by trains passing below. The performance took place as planned, & was a roaring success. COOLING OFF AFTERWARDS A lively after show party was held across the way from Trellick Towerin Units 1, 2 & 3 Barley Shotts, 246 Acklam Road, London W10 5YG.
